| The concept of expanded and comprehensive multisectoral HIV/AIDS response, which integrates adequate resources, organizational capacity and stakeholder commitment, is intended to expand the scope and scale of HIV/AIDS programmes. It proactively strengthens systems, develops capacities, and ensures qualitative service delivery. It embraces simultaneous pursuit of both prevention and treatment, care and support strategies as relevant inputs for reduction of HIV/AIDS incidence, prevalence, impacts and burden of the epidemic.
